We acted on behalf of a man in his twenties who worked as a dock worker. He sustained a serious injury to his non-dominant hand when a piece of steel was dropped by a crane driver, crushing his hand and causing a partial amputation of the ring finger and the middle finger. The middle finger was re-attached during surgery but his ring finger was lost. He was left with a lack of grip strength in the hand along with PTSD.
The Claimant underwent Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) treatment and, after legal proceedings were issued, the matter eventually reached a six-figure settlement.
