September 28, 2005 - Law firm first to offer cosmetic surgery negligence support

Law firm TJ Legal Solicitors is believed to have become the first organisation of its type in the UK to launch a specialist department to support the growing number of women and men who have become victims of cosmetic surgery negligence.

Cosmetic surgery is becoming accessible for an ever-increasing number of people, with figures from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons showing the number of procedures undertaken rose by 60 per cent last year.

But as more women and men have cosmetic surgery, many are finding to their cost that not all operations go to plan, leaving them with disappointing results and, in some cases, considerable pain, prolonged suffering and trauma.

TJ Legal Solicitors, a professional niche law firm specialising in personal injury litigation, has a history of successfully representing more than 3,500 clients who have had genuine claims involving personal injuries caused by accidents at work and slips and trips.

All of TJ Legal Solicitors’ work is carried out without any financial risk to its clients, with all the firm’s costs being recovered directly from the third-party as part of the settlement and with the client receiving full compensation.

“Our new service for sufferers of cosmetic surgery negligence has been established with the sole intention of obtaining the maximum recompense for our clients in an understanding and efficient manner,” said Mike Saul, partner, TJ Legal Solicitors.

“More people than ever before are undergoing cosmetic surgery, and we have been hearing of horrific cases where people have suffered personal injury and trauma as a result.

“We will help those individuals take action against the clinic or doctors concerned so that they can afford corrective surgery and receive financial compensation to cover any trauma or embarrassment that they might have experienced.”

Anyone who believes they have suffered from cosmetic surgery negligence has up to three years from the date of the operation or date of knowledge to make a claim.
